Lino Tagliapietra is a world renown glass artist. In 2017, Lino opened his 6,100 square-foot Seattle studio to display works for both art collectors and the public.
Delivering the studio experience digitally
Lino’s team wanted to develop a special webpage to help promote the opening of his Seattle Studio. In order to reach his international audience, some of whom may not be able to travel to Seattle, Lino’s team wanted to integrate a 360° tour of the studio in the webpage. As AR and VR technologies are in a constant state of development, we knew that 360° technology tends to go out of style relatively fast. Therefore, instead of solely relying on the 360° tour, we decided to create a more immersive experience through the use of videography and a fully dynamic user interface. We directed, shot, and edited both a studio teaser and 360° video experience which can be viewed on VR headsets. Users can also use their mobile devices to look around the room as if they were in the gallery. The finished product is an immersive experience that captures Lino’s dramatic work and beautiful studio.
